The numbers, free to take
Every reference page on this site is backed by a downloadable dataset: the same tables, formulas and verified rates, in JSON and CSV. Free to reuse with attribution (CC BY 4.0, cite d2c-acquisitionlab.com). Every number carries its provenance: verified external sources are named, our own conventions are labeled as conventions, and illustrative examples are never dressed up as benchmarks.
D2C startup costs, India, 2026
Four budget tiers (₹50,000 to ₹10 lakh) line by line, a 10-category cost matrix (AOV bands, COGS, RTO exposure, manufacturing clusters, compliance), reference constants with sources, and worked examples with stated assumptions.
D2C unit economics reference, India, 2026
Nine formulas (CM1, CM2, RTO drag, max affordable CAC, margin-based LTV, break-even), provenance-labeled India reference numbers, a fully worked example and an RTO x CAC sensitivity grid.
D2C shipping decision data, India, 2026
Courier plan and rate rows verified July 2026 with per-row provenance, a 10-question decision matrix, and the true-delivered-cost model connecting courier choice to contribution margin.
Reference datasets
Public primary sources only: provider fee schedules, rate notifications and regulator fee tables, each row with its source, effective date and last-verified date. A marketplace fee is not your total selling cost, and a GST rate is not a D2C-specific cost; the analysis that turns these into decisions lives on the reference pages, labeled separately.
Indian marketplace seller fees, 2026
Amazon.in referral nodes and closing fees, Flipkart's 0% fashion commission (Jul 2026), Meesho, Nykaa and Myntra, each row with source, effective date and last-verified date. Provider fees as published; not total selling costs.
GST rates for Indian D2C categories, 2026
The post-GST-2.0 rates D2C founders actually price against: the ₹2,500 transaction-value garment split, sarees as fabric at 5% any price, the slab structure, and GST on courier services. Government rates with notification sources; not D2C-specific costs.
Benchmarks built on original founder data come later, and only when we hold the data. If you use these in your own work, a link back keeps the updates coming.
